Cannon Hall Farm opened to the public for the first time in 1989. Since then it has added adventure playgrounds, gift shop, farm shop, restaurants and an indoor playground. A new farmyard opened in 2013. Their attractions include a milking parlour and a rare breeds barn.
The farm attracts 350,000 paying visitors a year including 25,000-30,000 school trip visitors and also holds several events including the Cannon Hall Farm Food Festival.
Cannon Hall Farm represents South Yorkshire’s Gastronomy. The Farm is famous for its high quality home-produced beef, pork and lamb. It won the Best Beef Butcher in Britain award in 2009 and was runner-up in 2011. The Farm Shop has twice been a finalist in the White Rose Awards “Taste of Yorkshire” competition. The Farm is committed to traditional farming and butchery methods handed down through the generations.
