In February, we carried out sensory impairment awareness training with managers and staff of the Hidden Gem Café, Sheffield. The managers explored how to develop a more accessible product for their customers focusing on their menu and website improvement. The front of house staff learnt about sensory impairments and how to provide a better and more inclusive customer service.
In March, we delivered two training workshops at Whirlow Hall Farm, Sheffield. The frontline staff and volunteers learnt how to make the visitor experience more accessible at the farm café and during their guided tours. The managers explored how to develop a more inclusive product for visitors with sensory impairment focusing on website accessibility, event organisation, guided tours and also promotion and marketing.
